The Buzz About "Work It"

  • Check out the July 2005 issue of Parenting Magazine, where we are featured among a selection of blogs about parenting.

Another working moms site, "Working Moms Against Guilt" honored us with a "Thinking Blogger" award saying: "With 11 working moms blogging collectively, you're bound to discover some thought-provoking ideas, products, websites, and thoughts. Work It features lots of different voices and updates often with entries that make us think. Plus, I love the Coffee Break entries!"

Elizabeth at "Career and Kids" says: "I enjoy the “Coffee Break” links...there’s often content of interest to all working parents...and..Keep up the good work!"

Writer Sandi Shelton recently blogged about us, too! She said, "A website for working moms, called Work It, linked to my blog, which made me so happy because their stuff is so funny and so necessary out there in the world."

Image_063 I'm a 29 year-old mother of two, a beautiful three-year old princess going on thirteen and a beautiful, five month old boy.  I've been married for 4 years to my wonderful husband who is, also, my boss.  I work full-time for the family oil field business where I am Fleet Manager.  I absolutely love baking, going out with the husband and kids, and just being a family together.  I am very thankful to God for where he has placed me in this life.

I just wanted to let you know that I am grateful for you sharing with me on this blog. I know I haven't been to ultreya in a while, but like you I am overwhelmed at some to the things God has put in my path. I explained to Adrian that my family and I have been going through an intense and immense ordeal and we have been sharing our fourth day with each other as family and as cursillistas. I don't think I will ever share what has happened in my life in ultreya beause it's been that bad, embarassing and painful but know that I miss all of you very much. I am sure this event in your life will carry you through just like the events going on in my life will some day make me a better and stronger person and some day I will say thank you to God for putting me through it all.
