The Buzz About "Work It"

  • Check out the July 2005 issue of Parenting Magazine, where we are featured among a selection of blogs about parenting.

Another working moms site, "Working Moms Against Guilt" honored us with a "Thinking Blogger" award saying: "With 11 working moms blogging collectively, you're bound to discover some thought-provoking ideas, products, websites, and thoughts. Work It features lots of different voices and updates often with entries that make us think. Plus, I love the Coffee Break entries!"

Elizabeth at "Career and Kids" says: "I enjoy the “Coffee Break” links...there’s often content of interest to all working parents...and..Keep up the good work!"

Writer Sandi Shelton recently blogged about us, too! She said, "A website for working moms, called Work It, linked to my blog, which made me so happy because their stuff is so funny and so necessary out there in the world."

Mamma Mia! One Fun Contest!

MmlandingsideimgHey moms...Ready for a vacation to London? How about a free vacation?

Then, prepare to put on a show in honor of the big-screen remake of Mamma Mia! starring Meryl Streep and coming to theaters this summer. Women 40 and older are invited to form a singing trio to perform their own take on the classics "Mamma Mia" or "Dancing Queen" and submit videos of their performances via the Pond's website, which also houses music and lyrics you can download to rehearse.

I know at least a couple of you who do in fact karaoke in the privacy of your own home. It's time to take it public! So break out the wine, invite two girlfriends over and get out the digital camcorder. The winners of the contest will win a lavish trip to London to live the life of three Dynamos at the world premiere of Mamma Mia!

Find out more about this very fun contest on the Pond's site...
